Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate baker to join our team at the newly opened Bibi Bistro. As a baker in our establishment, you will play a vital role in creating authentic French pastries, breads, and desserts that delight our guests. From traditional baguettes to decadent tarts, your expertise and dedication to quality will contribute to the unique culinary experience we offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of French pastries, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and techniques.
  • Ensure high standards of quality and consistency in all baked goods, maintaining freshness and appearance throughout the day.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan production schedules and coordinate baking times for optimal efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards in food preparation and handling, including cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.
  • Innovate and contribute ideas for new pastry and dessert offerings that align with our French bistro’s concept and seasonal inspirations.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition, performing regular maintenance and cleaning tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a baker, pastry chef, or similar role, preferably in a French bakery or bistro environment.
  • Strong knowledge of French baking techniques, including laminated doughs, choux pastry, and classic French desserts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and delicious baked goods.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
